Dedicated to Excellence in

ARTS & EDUCATION

Doricha Sales has been involved in the performing arts world for over 40 years as a performing artist, educator, administrator, and consultant.  Equally comfortable in the classroom or boardroom as she was on stage, she seeks to continue merging the highest quality of arts training with local and regional educational institutions and business organizations.

Born in Massachusetts, Ms. Sales was raised in a household that encouraged success in academics and the arts.  She was fortunate to attend progressive schools in New England and trained with the Boston School of Ballet, School of American Ballet, and Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts before receiving her B.S. in Ballet Performance and History from Indiana University.  Her performing career spanned 16 years with Boston Ballet, National Youth Ballet, Indianapolis Ballet Theatre, and Dance Theatre of Florida.

After her stage career, Ms. Sales discovered her aptitude in ballet training methods and  understanding developmental cognition in children studying the arts.  She returned to Indiana University receiving her M.S. in Ballet (Pedagogy) and Educational Psychology where she remained for an additional 13 years as faculty and administrative staff in the IU Ballet Department.

Ms. Sales currently resides in St. Petersburg, FL teaching ballet courses at Pinellas County Center for the Arts and is a consultant for ballet schools and students nationwide.   In her spare time she enjoys blogging, baking, and developing healthy, gourmet recipes along with volunteering in her community.
