Childhood cooking and baking has turned into a 25-year hobby/passion. One of my ultimate ways to relax is to cook something from scratch. Add in a few episodes of Top Chef, the Great British Baking Show, or Iron Chef Gauntlet and it's practically a vacation.

Every March, I love making Corned Beef and Cabbage. This one upgrades the cabbage by braising it with bacon juice and the potatoes are smashed with garlic and hickory salt. Yummy!
